That's me, I have been spending so much time making things (or probably mostly thinking about making things) for my etsy store I have been neglecting my blog. Although I do manage to 'lose' an inordinate amount of time somewhere (reading all your blog posts).
This is my latest item, a rather pretty, shabby dresser. I am having quite a time coming up with different little pieces that hopefully others will like too.
I welcome all new followers and visitors to my blog and invite you to visit my store to see some of my other 'stuff'. Hope your are all having a lovely autumn (here, downunder) or spring (up there).
A bientot!
Your shabby dresser is amazing, Margaret. I can easily see this in a shabby chic kitchen or dining room. I love that lacy touch. It adds a unique charm to the piece. I also love the paper you have glued on the back. It creates a lovely contrast with the creamy grey of the patina. A piece like this can add so much to the ambiance of a room!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Lucille I am glad you like it, I try to make something a little different.
DeleteHi Margaret, what a lovely, romantic dresser you made! I love the tiny lace curtains; such a good idea and very elegantly done. Thanks for posting again; it's always a pleasure to admire your creations.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful and romantic. I love the lace gives it an antique look. Hugs, Marisa
ReplyDeleteIt is a very nice cabinet. I love that you have chosen to put lace on as a "curtain". Your wallpaper is very nice as background.
ReplyDeleteI have sent you an email.

I like your dresser.
ReplyDeleteKind regards Xandra
Hello Margaret,
ReplyDeleteI love the dresser. It is very beautiful and well made. The paper is a great touch. Do not worry about not posting more often. I think we all now about real life and also how long good quality projects take to make...if anything I think it is fun to see a project for the first time when it is finished...more of a surprise element.
Big hug,
Giac

ReplyDeleteThank you all for your encouraging comments I am a little slow responding but I really appreciate hearing your thoughts.
ReplyDeleteHello Margaret! I think that your little cabinet is romantic looking and I like the items that are on the shelf. Your china plates and the assortment of perfume bottles and the books are all wonderful! The over all effect is one dreamy confection.
