Hi everyone, Long time no post. This is the latest chair I have been working on, based on a Bespaq chair I purchased. There was much indecision about what fabric to re-cover it with and I finally chose this silk I printed a while ago. I wanted the chair to look somewhat aged but with the silk remaining in good condition.
What do you think?
I may work on another chair with similar upholstery and maybe even a settee, then I think I will go back to the more contemporary look of linens for a while.
Hope you are all having a lovely weekend, we are about to head out to the beach to see the surf, should be impressive as it is quite windy here, though still warm.
A bientot!
the chair looks great, did you have to tease me with sun and surfing, its cold and damp here x
ReplyDeleteCe fauteuil est superbe et le tissus parfait mais est-ce du 1/12 ou du 1/1?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!

Sorry Debbie but it was lovely at the beach though the water was really cold still, and thanks for the compliment. Jean-Claude it is 1/12, I would love one like that in RL.
ReplyDeleteAnd Merci Genevieve, glad you like it.
Oooohh, the chair is Gorgeous!!! I have a weakness for ornate things.... this is a real beauty!
ReplyDeleteWonderful!
ReplyDeleteUna tapicería magnífica,me encanta el diseño de la seda!!!
ReplyDeleteBesos.
Very pretty! Personally I much prefer the traditional fabric to something like linen, but we are all different! Regardless, I imagine it will be beautiful. I really love the painted wood finish.
ReplyDeleteMargaret, this chair is gorgeous, nice work :D!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I wish I could ever have such a chair for the salon of my big canal house in the future....
Hugs, Ilona
