Hi and welcome to my blog. I hope you like my new look, I needed a change from black. Here you can share my miniature endeavours, perhaps be inspired by some of my photographs taken in France and of 'real world' treasures that can be made in miniature. My love of parterre-style gardens and study of horticulture made my decision for the theme of my little shop an easy one. I just hope I can successfully interpret my ideas in 1/12th scale!

A Tardy Welcome

I have been a little slow in welcoming all my new followers, now there are too many to go through. So happy to see you all here and wish you all good luck if you enter the giveaway draw. The lovely chandelier above is a project I would love to tackle as my metalwork skills improve. Wouldn't it look great in a French rustic mini setting? Electrified too, have to think how I could do it. Perhaps for a 200 followers giveaway?

  1. That would be great.
Have a look at K&S tube benders on this page. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.scalefour.org/resources/whereget/Miniature%2520tube%2520bending%2520springs.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.scalefour.org/resources/whereget.htm&usg=__Iw7I6yG8YgkhD0DGy99PRdbOUz8=&h=501&w=600&sz=87&hl=en&start=2&um=1&itbs=1&tbnid=ExvNFu9_3kjuOM:&tbnh=113&tbnw=135&prev=/images%3Fq%3DModel%2Bmakers%2Bspring%2Btube%2Bbenders%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26tbs%3Disch:1
If you want to use brass K & S tubes, they anneal at 750 Degrees F. That will make it soft enough to bend. Let them air cool. Be sure if you want to try this to get the right gauge tube to go into the right spring-bender.
I hope that is helpful. The tubes will allow you to hide the wire your fixture.
